In 2023, the annual retail revenue from mobile data services in the United Kingdom (UK) amounted to approximately 1.5 billion British pounds (GBP). From 2009 to 2013 the revenues generated from mobile services increased and reached their peak in 2013 with 2.73 billion GBP. After this peak, it fell by 0.97 billion GBP to 1.76 billion GBP in 2014. Since this significant drop, the revenues have continued to decrease, but not with the same speed.
